Have you heard that Patrick’s children’s book about primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall (Me . . . Jane) is being animated? Weston Woods is turning it into an animated short that will be available to schools and libraries. Patrick reached out to master animators Paul and Sandra Fierlinger to create this incredibly beautiful work of art. Last week, Patrick met with Jane to show her the almost completed, but not yet fully done version and Jane loved it. She called it “Brilliant”! We are so thankful for everyone involved—Paul Gagne, Melissa Reilly Ellard, and especially Paul and Sandra Fierlinger and composer Shay Lynch. Patrick and Jane were also interviewed for “extras,” also known as B-roll, for the piece, and Jane spoke about the importance of children having a connection to the natural world. Perfect for Earth Day.
