The comics cake featuring MUTTS and friends

The annual National Cartoonists Society gathering was held recently in Washington, D.C.

The legendary Mort Drucker (Mad Magazine) took the award for the NCS Medal of Honor. This was the first time this prestigious award was given out. Roz Chast (The New Yorker)won the Reuben for Cartoonist of the Year, with Hillary Price (Rhymes with Orange) taking the honors for best newspaper panel cartoon.

Watch Tom Gammill give everyone huge laughs with his latest classic Reubens video.

King Features Syndicate was feted for their 100th anniversary with a celebratory cake, pictured above. Earl and Mooch were featured on it!

Congratulations to Mort, Roz, Hillary and all the other winners.
