It’s Follow Fur-Day! That means it’s time to share a few of our favorite animal advocates, rescue groups, and humane influencers. We love following these accounts and think you will, too. Enjoy!
Founded by a woman named Caitlin Cimini, Rancho Relaxo is a non-profit animal rescue in New Jersey. Caitlin saves farm animals — such as horses, chickens, pigs, goats, and more — who are often just days away from death’s door, and fosters domestic animals like cats and dogs who don’t yet have forever homes. Caitlin happens to be severely allergic to animals, though in an interview with The Dodo she said, “What they do to my spirit outweighs what they do to my skin.” Follow Rancho Relaxo on Facebook and Instagram for striking, high-quality photography and shamelessly honest (and funny) videos.
Emily von Euw is a vegan blogger from Vancouver, Canada. In addition to posting tons of mouth-watering recipes, she also writes vegan travel guides that include gorgeous photographs. You can learn more on her website — which contains a helpful Resources page for anyone interested in learning more about cruelty-free living — or follow her on a variety of social platforms (below). At the very least, though, please do check out her Instagram feed. So, so beautiful.
Tenley is an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull) living with her forever family in Seattle, WA. According to an article at Positively Woof, as a puppy she was abandoned with her mother and siblings in Palm Springs, California, but was rescued thanks to the efforts of K9 Rescue & Rehab in Auburn, WA. Now a happy domestic pup and Instagram influencer, Tenley and her family advocate for adoption and against breed-specific legislation.
