Hello friends,

We are approaching a holiday season that is unlike any other in our lifetimes. Many of us will be celebrating while practicing social distancing. I am hopeful that we will still keep our joy and love for others front and center.

On Saturday, November 7, I will be doing a virtual event for the Schulz Museum with writer/producer Tom Gammill. Tom, who is a cartoonist and a great friend, is known for his work at Seinfeld, Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, and many other iconic shows. This year, on April Fool’s Day, I put his characters from The Doozies into MUTTS. Please register in advance. In the meanwhile, I think you will enjoy this video teaser for the event.

If you have been following MUTTS “forever,” you may recall that, a decade ago, S2 Art Group created gorgeous, limited-edition MUTTS lithographs. These were actually produced on the same printing machine as the lithographs created by Toulouse-Lautrec. Sadly, S2 has closed shop. Happily, MUTTS.com has been able to source two of my favorites, and they will be available on the store shortly.

I continue to hear that pet adoption and fostering rates are a bright spot in 2020. Many of you have opened your hearts to a new fur family member to keep company while weathering this storm. If you have time next Friday evening, consider registering for the “To The Rescue” virtual gala. It will be meaningful and fun! Your tickets are 100% deductible as a donation to the Humane Society of the United States. Audra McDonald and Cecily Strong will be the celebrity guests. MUTTS is a sponsor, and we are auctioning a drawing that I will create featuring your pet with Earl and Mooch.

Speaking of celebrating homeless pets, this month, we are unveiling the submissions that I used to inspire MUTTS Shelter Stories. This week they appeared in newspapers. You can see the strips and the submissions that inspired them on our blog. Thank you again to everyone who sent in their own MUTTS creations. I loved reading them all.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Explore some of the wonderful plant-based options available. We are all a part of one big family, and there’s no better time to spread love and joy.

Hi Patrick and Gang. As a strong supporter and previous donor to HSUS I’m delighted to be able to make a bid on your drawing. I’ll be checking back to bid up as needed. What a super contribution you’re making! My fur baby Albert looks a lot like Earl, at least in the strip rendition of him, so it would be exciting to see what you might draw for us. Sending wags and hugs!

Is there a new November screen saver/background for PCs? I hate to get rid of my Mooch from October without something to replace him!
