The year-end season of gift giving is nearly upon us! In these last few weeks before the holiday festivities really kick off, we like to set aside some time to count our blessings and think about ways to deliver joy to those around us. To honor this season of gratitude, we’ve gathered a few of our favorite Thanksgiving MUTTS strips.

MUTTS comic strip featuring Ozzie walking Earl the dog, along with a quote from Brene Brown about happiness.

I’ve been a Mutts fan ever since I saw the panel with Mooch falling out of a tree (with Earl sitting on the ground with his back against the tree’s trunk, watching). As Mooch falls, you see him in a series of pictures as he rights himself for landing, and in the 2nd-to-last picture, he’s got all 4 feet pointing down, ready to land and looking like “I’ve got this.” Then, in the last picture of Mooch, there he is after having landed…HEAD FIRST on the ground, facing Earl! What a hoot!

You see, I’ve had many kitties, and my goofiest, most personable one was a Tuxedo much like Mooch, and he was the only one of my kitties who climbed trees, scaring the heck out of me. His name was Buzzy…he was my “Mooch!” I’ve been missing him now for 17 years, but my Buzzy lives on thru Mooch in Mutts!! Thank you!

My favorite of all times was the one with Earl curled up on the bed and the words thank you above him. It includes the quote “God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say Thank you”?

Thanks for not skipping over “Thanksgiving”. It is a time to be thankful and grateful even in this crazy year 2020! We can all find something to be thankful for.
