Me . . . Jane
Me . . . Jane is Patrick’s picture book about the childhood life of Jane Goodall. She explores the forest around her home with her toy chimpanzee named Jubilee. The book won a Caldecott Medal in 2012. This highly respected award is given by the American Library Association to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
“There was once a kitten so filled with love he wanted to give the whole world a hug!” Patrick’s book Hug Time follows Shtinky Puddin’ (also known as Jules) as he travels the world spreading love with his two tiny arms. The book was published in January of 2007 and climbed to the top of the New York Times Best Sellers List.
The Gift of Nothing
The Gift of Nothing was Patrick’s first picture book for kids (and kids at heart) and reached the top of the New York Times Best Sellers List in 2005. Mooch the cat wonders what he can give Earl the dog when Earl has everything. The answer, of course, is nothing. The book also received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly.
