The New York Times noted that story line for A Perfectly Messed-Up Story will “tickle even the littlest postmodernist.”

Patrick McDonnell spent a busy August day at the warehouse of Hachette, publisher of his new picture book, A Perfectly Messed Up Story.

Patrick’s newest picture book, A Perfectly Messed Up Story is scheduled to be released on October 7, 2014. But it’s already received some great reviews!

Last week, Patrick met with Jane to show her the almost completed, but not yet fully done version and Jane loved it.

The Gift of Nothing musical, named after Patrick’s book of the same name, will premiere at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, this coming holiday season.

Patrick has 3 new books coming out this fall and will be appearing at Book Expo America May 30-31 to promote them.
