We’ve teamed up with Gogo Olive, a company committed to fair trade and community empowerment, to bring you a special new item that’s exclusive to the MUTTS Shop: Hand-Knitted Plush Pals!
Created a decade ago in response to Zimbabwe’s unemployment crisis, Gogo Olive creates opportunities for local women to use their craft skills to build better futures for themselves and their families. The company consisted of just six women when it launched in 2008; since then, it’s expanded to include nearly 60 skilled knitters from three different areas of the country.
We collaborated with the Gogo Olive team to create two MUTTS Plush Pal designs (an Earl and a Mooch, of course!) and we think you’re going to love them just as much as we do. Best of all, because they are knitted by hand, every plush is one of a kind! Each also includes a tag featuring the name and picture of the artisan who crafted it.
Please keep in mind that although these Hand-Knitted Plush Pals are indeed shnuggly and adorable, they’re not toys. They prefer to be treated gently, and are not suitable for pets.
