Shipping & Processing
Is international shipping available?
Unfortunately, at this time we only ship within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. We no longer offer other international shipping, as our shipping vendors have experienced an extreme increase in shipping time and cost since the onset of COVID-19. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, and we hope that one day we may again be able to offer shipping to our friends overseas.

How long will my order take to process?
We work as quickly as our paws allow! For apparel, books, and any other orders that do not include prints, please allow a processing time of approximately 3-5 business days.
- For orders that include regular prints, please allow an additional 5-7 business days for processing before your items are shipped out.
- For orders that include framed prints, please allow an additional 7-10 business days for processing before your items are shipped out.
- For orders that include canvas prints, please allow an additional 14 business days for processing before your items are shipped out.
Please note, if your order includes non-print items, your complete order will ship out after the print arrives at our warehouse.

What if my order is lost or stolen?
If you have a package that was marked as delivered but you have not yet received it, we ask that you take the following steps:
- Check with your neighbors or front office (if applicable) to see if the package was left there.
- Reach out to your local post office or FedEx facility.
- Contact our team at email@example.com, and include your order number.
We kindly ask that you report your lost or stolen shipment within 10 days of the marked delivery date. If an order is lost after being shipped to a third party mail forwarding facility, we are unable to assume the responsibility of the package once it is marked as delivered. Once an international shipment has been marked as “delivered,” we are no longer responsible for the particular package.
Please note: MUTTS.com is not responsible for refunding or reshipping lost orders due to an incorrect address at checkout.
Returns & Refunds
What if there is an issue with my order?
If you’ve received an incorrect or damaged item, please accept our apawlogies. We want you to be happy with every purchase, and we’ll work with you to quickly resolve the issue. To report an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us within 10 business days of receiving your order, and we’ll be happy to issue an exchange or refund (including all shipping costs).
Can I return a print?
Unfortunately, because prints are made to order, they usually cannot be returned or exchanged. However, because we want you to be fully satisfied with every order, we invite you to contact us with any concerns or questions to find out if we may be able to make an exception. If the artwork you’ve received is damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 10 business days of receiving your order, and we’ll be happy to issue an exchange or refund.
Can I return a (non-print) purchase?
Yesh! If you’ve changed your mind about a non-print purchase, simply return the item within 30 days of purchase and we’ll be happy to issue a refund or exchange (excluding all shipping costs). If you’ve received an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us within 10 business days of receiving your order, and we’ll be happy to issue an exchange or refund (including all shipping costs).
Social & Environmental Impact
We love to support nonprofits by donating prints to aid in fundraising efforts (for use in raffles, silent auctions, etc.) Due to the high volume of messages we receive, we cannot grant every request — but we do our best to help as often as possible! Please note that only certified 501(c)(3) charities may apply for in-kind donations. To apply for a donation, please click here.

When will Guard Dog be free?
Have no fear, Guard Dog is free in Patrick’s sketchbooks and Patrick promises to free him someday in the comic strip. However, Guard Dog has a job to do now, representing many dogs who live their entire lives chained. Some states have passed legislation to ban this practice, and we’re hoping that others will join in to improve the lives of every “Guard Dog.” If you want to help, please contact your state legislators to introduce a ban in your state. Why does Mooch say "Yesh" instead of "Yes"?
Patrick has described Mooch as simply having "a funny way of talking." We believe he created Mooch with this characteristic because Mooch is an amalgam of many cats Patrick has known in real life, all of whom have quirks that make them unique and charming.
Are the "Shelter Stories" comic strips based on real animals?
Yesh, some of them are based on real shelter animals! For instance, in 2016, Patrick drew a week’s worth of strips based on animals he met at Animal Care Centers of NYC. And in November 2018, he teamed up with The Dodo to create a series of images based on adoptable animals at multiple shelters and rescue groups around the country. Throughout the years, he’s also told the stories of various animals he and his friends have befriended in their own lives.
Questions for Patrick
Would Patrick mind drawing something for me?
From time to time, we receive requests for Patrick to create original artwork (tattoos, cards, etc.) for MUTTS lovers. While he appreciates these inquiries, he keeps a very busy schedule — drawing a daily comic strip is a demanding gig! — and is unable to accommodate requests for individual artwork.
Would Patrick sign an item for me?
Unfortunately, Patrick is not able to sign items that aren't sold in the MUTTS Shop. But the great news is that you can order ANY strip that's ever run and he'll happily sign it for you! Feel free to browse here. Additionally, all books at the MUTTS Shop (except for children's board books) come signed by Patrick, for no additional cost. You can browse them here.
Can Patrick make an appearance at my charity fundraiser, school program, or other event?
Although Patrick is invited to lots of worthwhile and fun events, his many commitments and busy schedule mean that he is rarely able to accept these invitations. If you submit a request for this, we'll pass your request along to him, but please note that it's unlikely he'll be able to attend.
