Meet Ozzie! Ozzie is best known as “my Ozzie” by his beloved little dog, Earl. Through the eyes of his adoring pup, he’s the guy who gives treats and belly rubs, eats breakfast while reading the morning paper, and loves nature, especially long walks in the woods and quiet sunrises on the beach.

Get to know Ozzie better with these strips featuring Earl's human.

The moment we first met Ozzie (and Earl, of course)!

But he’s always up for a walk, no matter the weather.

In this MUTTS comic, Ozzie asks, "Earl, do you want to go for a walk?" Earl looks out the window at the falling snow, then turns over in his bed, saying "It can wait."

Because Ozzie knows that the little things in life — whether walks together or a quick game of fetch — are usually the most meaningful.

My husband, Neale, is Ozzie irl. He was so in love with our “pagle” Murphy. When he passed, Neale had a difficult time getting close to Brutus. For 6 months, Bru was always trying to be close to him. Finally my husband realized that Brutus had not caused Murphy’s death- cancer had. Since then, the two of them have a fabulous relationship. I love watching them play and snuggle together. They both are have my heart.

I wasn’t following in 1994, but thanks for sharing that wonderful series of panels. I have followed along for quite awhile and just love all the characters including but not limited too: Earl, Frank, Butchie etc but especially our animal friends Shtinky Puddin’, Chickpea and Chickpea’s Brother (love that and the happy ending/beginning) even can’t do without Sourpuss (who is actually a softy) and Crabby. And of course the best story of all, Guard Dog AKA Sparky and Doozy.

Patrick is able to capture in 3 frames in his comics what I feel each time. Thank you for the smiles.

Their sweet love for each other is such a reminder and a balm for the heart in these times and always.

I’ve been reading MUTTS for years. Patrick has such a way of using a few words and sweet drawings that touch something deep in your heart. A real gift 🎁

Siegrid

I love them both! They were made for each other.

Just love. An easy feeling when you are lucky enough to have a little puppy.

I love all of these panels.
But the last one, June 19, 2022, is my favorite!
