Once again, Team MUTTS is partnering with the Petco Foundation to support its annual “Love Changes Everything” campaign in an effort to raise $3.1 million for lifesaving animal welfare work across the country! This year, the campaign will run from Saturday, February 2 through Sunday, March 3. As always, it will include plenty of fun adoption events, giveaways, and opportunities to send love to shelter pets and the people who care for them.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Adopt a shelter animal at one of three upcoming adoption weekends at participating Petco and Unleashed by Petco stores nationwide. These events will be held February 2-3, February 15-16, and March 2-3.
  • Donate $10 or more (at check-out) when shopping at Petco — and receive a free reusable tote featuring MUTTS artwork!
  • Upload a digital Valentine between now and February 13 to send love to shelter pets and the people who care for them. Click here to submit a video or image of you and your furry pal, and include a message thanking the animal organization that helped bring you together. You’ll be entered to win daily prize packs (which include signed MUTTS prints), and you could help your favorite non-profit win a lifesaving grant! Plus, remember to share your photo or video on social media using the hashtag #ShelterValentine.

Need some inspiration? Check out a few Valentine messages already submitted by members of Team MUTTS:

Submitted by MUTTS Art Director Elena Nazzaro

Submitted images and photos will be compiled to create the world’s largest virtual Valentine! Then, on February 14, the Petco Foundation — along with Adoption Ambassadors such as Patrick McDonnell — will convene online and/or in person to celebrate and recognize those who work hard daily to help shelter animals.

I love Mutts – especially Jules who loves all of the creatures on earth.

I received Plush Mooch as a gift. I love him.

After a houseful of cats- (all of whom lived very long lives over the past 30+ years) we now have two – Chick Savoy and Olive Olay – both almost four. They dazzle us everyday. Both needed homes but we needed them even more. Our last of the first left us in 2016 – far too soon. We are tempted everyday to welcome another – but at a certain age it is wisest to cherish the ones you have and hope to love them for many years. (Ours are already part of our wills and will go to a FF when we do – and not a second before.) The ’katz" are healthy and active and stay indoors. Hard describe the joy and happiness we have in our lives because of them. But the feeling is perfect. (One regret – because we adore our vet of 30 years – we rarely see him due to all we have learned over the years and his wonderful care of these babies. Miss you John).

Thanks for the all the incarnations of the Mutts.

Cheers and purrs
