Hey Memphis-area readers . . . Patrick is headed your way. And he’s supporting a wonderful cause, along with cartooning’s top talents.

On Thursday, May 29, 2016, members of The National Cartoonists Society will lend their time and talents to “Cartooning for Kids,” an event that supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They’ll spend the day at the hospital drawing for the patients and their families, and handing out goodie bags crammed with t-shirts, sketchbooks, crayons, toys, comics, and books.

That evening, you can join Patrick McDonnell—along with other cartoonists, including Jerry Scott (Zits, Baby Blues), Stephan Pastis (Pearls Before Swine), Jeff Keane (Family Circus), Lynn Johnston (For Better Or For Worse), and more—at a gala fundraiser. It’s your chance to sit among these amazing cartoonists, enjoy great food and spirits, get personalized sketches and caricatures, and bid on some unique original art. The cartoonists will also participate in an improv show that we’re sure will be one of the highlights of the evening!
