Hello friends,

It’s hard to believe that winter is nearly behind us and 2020 is well on its way. Later this week, I will be on my way to California to continue the MUTTS 25th anniversary book tour.

My first stop will be at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, on Saturday, March 7. If you are in northern California, please join us! The Museum is a magical place and I feel honored to be speaking and signing books at the home of the world’s largest and best collection of all things Peanuts. I will be talking about MUTTS and how Charles inspired me and my work.

At this event, attendees will be able to meet real-life “mutts” looking for homes from Compassion Without Borders, and can also snag a smooch or two from Scamp (the winner of the 2019 World’s Ugliest Dog contest) at a kissing booth hosted by the Humane Society of Sonoma County. Coincidently, March 7 will also be the last day to see the Museum’s “Peace, Love, and Woodstock” exhibit.

Speaking of wonderful museums dedicated to comic art, the following day, March 8, I will be speaking at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco. The aptly named Muttville Senior Dog Rescue will be with us at the event. (Tickets are available online.) Additionally, their new exhibit is an artists’ tribute to Calvin and Hobbes, with the art being auctioned off over time to support the museum’s mission. To see my contribution and to get information about the auction, click here.

During the first weekend in April, I will be a guest of honor at the MoCCA Arts Festival in NYC, speaking and signing books. And, for the first time ever, the MUTTS.com team will join me. We will have our own table at the event.

I am enthused to mention that the new MUTTS Treasury, Hot Dogs, Hot Cats, is being released on March 3. The book is a collection of the MUTTS strips from 2018 along with some new art. The cover and title is a takeoff of one of my all-time favorite albums, Frank Zappa’s Hot Rats. The team is offering Hot Dogs, Hot Cats on our site, signed, at a pre-publication discount. That gives you just one more day or two to grab the book at a great price.

As spring comes our way, I’m feeling grateful for all of you. Thanks for being part of the MUTTS community.

Patrick

I love anything Mutts! I have framed Mutts prints and posters all around my home. I change them with the seasons and they all make me smile everyday. Thank you Patrick. 🐶❤️

First thing I do every morning is open my phone and read MUTTS. First I read the Daily Quotes and then read the comic. I have almost all the books. I also don’t read any other comic online or in a newspaper, which we don’t get.

Thanks for making me smile and laugh!

Greetings Patrick! If the idea appeals to you, could you give seagulls a voice in one of your strips? It seems to me that they’re getting a pretty bad rap these days. Many, many thanks for all the joy of Mutts!
