Welcome to the MUTTS November Newshletter. And to the new MUTTS website! The MUTTS team’s hard work and creativity has made it all happen. They’ve added a bunch of new content, including the many collaborations I’ve had the honor to be part of over the years. New shtuff will be added continually over time.

Recently MUTTS.com has teamed up with 1% for the Planet, a global network of businesses, individuals, and non-profits working to tackle the world’s pressing environmental challenges. You can be sure that its mission includes helping animals. The 1% for the Planet model allows MUTTS to donate directly to partner charities while making the commitment to donate at least 1% of annual revenue. Details will soon be provided on which specific charities MUTTS will be donating to — in addition to the animal shelter and rescue organizations we already support.

Speaking of a great cause, The National Cartoonist Society (of which I am a member) has again partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Heritage Auctions to raise funds. I have contributed a hand-colored published MUTTS strip celebrating the 60th year of the first Fantastic Four comic books. It will be auctioned off this Wednesday, November 3.

November 2 is the release date for my latest MUTTS collection, MUTTS Moments. I've always felt the comic strip is a perfect medium for capturing (and celebrating) the simple, precious, fleeting moments of life. This collection contains strips from MUTTS’s 25th anniversary year.

It’s hard for me to believe, but my six-month sabbatical is already coming to an end. This week I submitted two new MUTTS Sunday pages to my syndicate, King Features. The first Sunday will appear in newspapers and on MUTTS.com on January 2, 2022, and going forward, new Earl and Mooch daily adventures will follow.

The art I am creating for my book collaboration with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Heart to Heart, is nearing completion. It has been a long, enjoyable, intense process. I can’t wait to be able to share it all with you. Hopefully soon.

Wishing you a joyful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Stay safe and be kind to the animals.

Mutts is one of the few things that I have left that makes me smile. Thank you. 🍀🐾💜💙

What can I add, which hasn’t already been said in these comments…MUTTS has made our lives fuller, because of the love…who cannot fall in love with Mooch, Earl and the entire Gang,…who cannot fall in love with the message of the daily strip…I begin each and every day with my coffee, my kitty Puck on my lap and open my Mutts email….it soothes my soul, my heart and my day gets off to wonderful start! I can almost jump into these strips at times they resonate so close to my own heart! That’s the magic Patrick, you make magic happen from your pen to the page and bring it to life….thank you, thank you❣️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🙏🏻🌱☮️😊

I had my own cat for 17 years … but after him my allergies worsened and I couldn’t take a new one. Mutts has comforted and delighted me a lot since then!
Happy November to everyone from here far away in Finland!

My love of Mutts grows from its gentleness. The strip soothes my soul.

I love the squirrels! They DO always drop those acorns, and that is part of their charm!

Ellen

My biggest problem with the squirrels in Mutts is that they drop acorns on heads. My squirrels are insanely smart and they somehow got a hold of some of Patricks strips. I am here to tell you that they have dropped acorns on MY head. More than once. My dogs haven’t mentioned whether or not they have been victims.

Dear Patrick, Thank you for just being there for the animals and the people. There is too much meanness, and too little truth, in the world today. You and all the Mutts don’t have a mean bone or feather or claw in your bodies, and your great talent make some great truths simple but not simplistic.
