'The Gift of Nothing' Book Spotted in July Issue of O, The Oprah Magazine

We’d like to thank an eagle-eyed MUTTS reader who messaged us to point out a fun surprise in the July issue of O, the Oprah Magazine.

Page 17 of the magazine includes a letter introducing Oprah Winfrey’s annual summer reading guide. It also features a photo of Oprah herself, curled up on a couch with one of her beloved pups and a copy of Patrick’s bestselling picture book The Gift of Nothing!

We know Oprah is an animal lover just like us, so it was a treat to see her enjoying The Gift of Nothing, which focuses on the friendship between MUTTS characters Mooch the cat and Earl the dog.

Mutts strikes again! I wanted to extend my appreciation to your recent inclusion of comments by Glen David Gold on fostering kittens. I have done this myself already, but what I gained from this article was the introduction to the author. It led me to purchase his most recent book – “I will be Complete”. I wish to stress how much I thank you for introducing me to this writer! He is now a permanent part of my library and I will be reading more of his work!
