The HSUS Animal Rescue Team
We’ve donated $75,000+ to the HSUS and HSI’s Animal Rescue Team which works with law enforcement to investigate the worst cases of animal abuse nationwide. Every year, this team rescues thousands of animals from puppy mills, animal fighting operations, natural disasters, and other large-scale situations of cruelty and neglect.

Mercy for Animals
Mercy for Animals is a leading international nonprofit working to end industrial animal agriculture by constructing a just and sustainable food system. Active in Brazil, Canada, India, Mexico, and the United States, the organization has conducted more than 80 investigations of factory farms and slaughterhouses, moved more than 300 food companies to adopt animal welfare policies, and helped pass historic legislation to ban cages for farmed animals.

Greater Good Charities
Greater Good Charities is an international nonprofit that helps people, pets, and the planet by mobilizing in response to need. They renovate shelter spaces, and provide critical food and supplies, medical support, transport and more. They also support the conservation of threatened species around the world through habitat protection and community education.

In June of 2022, we partnered with Greater Good to send nearly 500 stainless steel dog bowls to displaced animals and their families in Ukraine.
Project AnimalAid
Project AnimalAid (formerly Project V.E.T.S.) collects veterinary equipment, technology, and supplies, and distributes those items to 100+ animal welfare partners in 38 countries around the world. This program serves animals ranging from dogs and cats to elephants and pangolins, and prevents up to six tons of usable, lifesaving items from ending up in landfills each year. Project AnimalAid is committed to healing the planet, one animal at a time.

The Turtle Conservancy
The Turtle Conservancy is dedicated to protecting threatened turtles and tortoises and their habitats worldwide. This organization focus on four strategic program areas including: conserving species in their natural habitat (including land acquisition), maintaining captive breeding programs to help restore natural populations, monitoring and helping to prevent trade that threatens species, and spreading global awareness.

One Tree Planted
One Tree Planted is on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and experts to create an impact on nature, people, and wildlife. Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods, provides jobs for social impact, and restores biodiversity.

The Watershed Institute
Water is our most fragile and precious resource. Essential to all forms of life and to our economies, our water supplies face a myriad of threats from pollution to climate change. Keeping our water clean, safe, and healthy in the face of these challenges is the heart of the Watershed’s mission. Their strategy for doing so involves scientific investigation, advocacy at the state and local level, enhanced land and water stewardship, and education to expand environmental literacy.

Green Amendments for the Generations
Green Amendments for the Generation collaborates with environmental leaders, legislators, faith groups, and individuals to educate and empower communities to advance Green Amendment proposals which defend their inalienable rights to pure water, clean air, a stable climate, and healthy environments — and to hold government accountable to ensure they honor the environmental rights of all people in the laws they enact, the decisions they make, and the actions they take.

Garden to Table
Garden to Table provides gardens, curriculum, and support to schools in Boulder County, Colorado and surrounding areas. The program currently empowers 308 teachers and more than 6,000 students, and provides everything a school needs to maintain a garden and use it for teaching and learning. Its Garden Team makes weekly check-ups to ensure the school garden is thriving, and its standards-based curriculum includes lesson plans for grades PreK through 5th grade.

D&R Greenway Land Trust
D&R Greenway Land Trust works throughout central New Jersey to keep the “Garden” in the Garden State. Since its founding in 1989, it has permanently protected more than 20,000 acres of land. Through strategic land conservation and stewardship, the organization works to combat climate change, protect birds and wildlife, and ensure clean drinking water for future generations.

Edible Schoolyard NYC
Edible Schoolyard NYC’s mission is to support edible education for every child in New York City. This nonprofit partners with New York City public schools to cultivate healthy students and communities through hands-on cooking and gardening education, transforming children’s relationship with food. Its programs currently reach 3,500 students at 10 schools in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx.

The Accountability Board
The Accountability Board is an active investor in over 100 of the largest publicly-traded companies. Its portfolio advocacy focuses largely on ensuring transparency and policy compliance, improving corporate governance, and strengthening shareholder rights. The board also tracks corporate disclosures and reports inconsistencies to appropriate federal and state agencies as needed.

St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center
St. Hubert’s offers rescue and safe refuge for homeless pets that come from across New Jersey and from shelter partners around the country, and provides programs that help animals stay with their families — such as pet food banks, vaccine clinics, and emergency pet boarding. St. Hubert's has moved 20,000 pets from areas of need to places of opportunity through a network of more than 90 sheltering organizations, and has invested more than $350,000 back into its source shelter partners across the country.

Animal Care Centers of NYC
ACC of NYC is an open-admission animal shelter system with five locations across Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Queens (coming soon). As the largest animal welfare provider in NYC, this organization partners with other nonprofits to find homes for homeless animals, and onnects families with free pet resources such as vaccinations, spay/neuter services, pet training, tenant advocacy, and more.

Did you know?
In November and December of 2023, with support from MUTTS readers and a partnership with Petco Love, we raised more than $16,000 to provide ACC of NYC with animal medical supplies, pet bowls, pet food, toys, and more!
Local Animal Shelters & Rescues
Each year, MUTTS donates signed comic strip prints to animal-related nonprofits for raffles and other fundraising events. Since we began this program, we’ve supported more than 300 nonprofit animal welfare organizations in raising approximately $200,000 to fund grassroots rescue and sheltering efforts.
