1996 Promotional Booklet

In 1996, two years after MUTTS' debut, King Features distributed this promotional booklet to newspaper editors to garner even more interest in the strip.
This booklet measures 14.25" x 5.25" and includes 12 one-sided pages. The first two pages include quotes from Charles Schulz (Peanuts) and Matt Groening (The Simpsons), a note from Patrick, and spot images of MUTTS characters. The following 10 pages feature a mix of color and black-and-white MUTTS comic strips.
This collection includes the last 136 unmailed booklets known to MUTTS.

1994 Promotional Folder Packet

MUTTS began in 1994 with syndication through King Features. To advertise the new comic strip, King distributed these highly customized folder packets to newspaper editors around the world. The packet includes a four-page folder featuring MUTTS illustrations, a contact form, a camera-ready print ad, Patrick's bio, an 11-page stapled packet of black-and-white comic samples, and four 11" x 17" papers featuring color Sunday strip samples.
While some of the mailed folder packets may exist with editors, this collection includes the last 15 unmailed sets known to MUTTS.
